In the previous post we studied about the coming of Jesus to the Earth to extend the sonship to us. We can become children of God by Believing and receiving Jesus Christ.
Salvation is another term for the restoration of our lost relationship with God.
1 John 1:6-7 "If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
If we say we are in His Fellowship, if we say we have the right relationship with God and walk in Darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
How can you identify your status? How can you find out if you are in light or in darkness?
It is important because a major portion of people who think they are children of God are living in deception.
Even Jesus said in Matt 7:22 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?" (ASV)
A person who is not born again is Self centered, however, a person who is born again is Christ Centered.
You can examine yourself. If you are born again, if you have a good relationship with God, you cannot live a self centered life. Love of God will compel you to share it with others. However, if you are living a self centered life, you are walking in darkness. If we think more, in a way, Self centeredness is the reason of all the crimes and problems. Selfishness can make person cross all the limits.
A person who is in His fellowship will be christ centered. Even if he has found christ, he would think about people who do not know Jesus. He would do everything he can to make Jesus know to them who are without Jesus. His thoughts and life will always be Christ Centered.
"For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God." Romans 8:19 (ASV)
